Hi my first post!

Hope this is in the right thread?

I will be setting up a few websites for blogs/commerce etc, and looking into VPN, I will be doing this from home and on my laptop while traveling or out of the house. My question is Which company/program?

I have the typical iPad's , Apple TV , Xbox , ps3 , iPhones , and my son's gaming computer. I would like to know if I should go for a VPN router that may come with some downloadable software for iPads iPhone laptop so we can be covered when we are away from our router? Or just buy some software options and have it installed on my devices?

Thank you in advance for any help,

Regards;

Dan

    Could you please explain why you feel you need VPN? If you want to be able to work from multiple places, you could keep your files in the cloud with services like Google Drive and/or Dropbox. I've gained much more flexibility since I started doing this, and then I use Mozy to back up the files that don't live in the cloud.

    I'm not being snarky; I just (honestly) want to know what you are trying to "cover"?

    It may help if you show some examples; what's perfectly obvious to you may not be to others.

    Lets just pretend for a moment, you want to be viewing content that you haven't strictly paid for. Yes, you should definitely be looking into a VPN.

    Other than that, you really have no reason to. I mean netflix is pretty cheap and you should have more than enough allocated bandwidth each month from your provider.

    If this isn't the case, maybe you should make clear your use-case for the VPN.
