Visitors showing up in Statcounter but not Analytics

I've had a sudden spike in the traffic on several of my websites today. Not sure why that is, maybe someone is trying to hack me, maybe Google have changed something.

Anyway, the traffic is showing up in Statcounter, but it doesn't say where the traffic came from. On one of my sites the graph is showing 17 uniques today, which is pretty good considering I haven't had visitors since last Tuesday.. But when I look at which keywords the visitors used, there are nothing to show, and in the "recent came from" tab there are only 2 results for today.

And while this is going on, Analytics is showing no data at all.

I have no idea what's going on, maybe someone can explain it to me?

Google Analytics is implemented in JavaScript, while StatsCounter isn't I suppose.

So if the user agent accessing your website doesn't support JavaScript, Google Analytics won't cont hits from such clients.

This usually means that your website is accessed by a robot, such as Googlebot or another crawler, or by a tool such as wget.

Try to access your site with a normal browser with enabled JS support, such as FireFox and verify that your hits are counted correctly. If they are not, check your Analytics code as waqascheema suggested.

It's a hacker or more likely a spambot with javascript disabled.

    17 hits sounds like spiders/crawlers
