Youtube Analytics????

Figured if any group knows it will be you guys.
Unless I am missing it and that is possible I can not seem to find the analytics for other peoples videos on youtube.
Come to think of it maybe you never could, so is there a way to find out where a particular video,(NOT MY OWN) is getting views from. The exact websites the views are coming from?
Thanks
Barry

I don't think Analytics were ever available for other people's videos. You can view "Statistics" for other people's videos... but it's not much info, and it doesn't show where a video's "views" are coming from.

What you can do though is go to Google and put the YouTube video URL in the search box, and that will show you all of the sites that link to that video. Of course, just because a site links to a video, doesn't mean that anyone is actually viewing the video from that site. But it should at least give you a general idea of where some of the views are coming from.

Hey Brandon, thanks for the response.
I am working in a specific offline niche and knowing where videos are getting their traffic from outside of youtube might be helpful. Youtube has an API that i beleive can be coded to pull the info. I just don't how to do it.
    Thanks again

YouTube's API can definitely be used to pull analytics data from videos in your YouTube account, but I don't think it allows you to pull data from videos in other people's accounts. I haven't messed around with YouTube's API in a long time though, so things may have changed.
