Can Anyone Figure This Out?

I've been running a couple of banner ads on some large websites with no problems. When I go to view the banners now they don't show up on my screen. Now the strange part is when I use my daughters account on the same computer I can view the banners.

So far I have updated adobe flash, and Java, am using the latest version of Firefox. Have cleared the casche, and cookies, and history. Still the ads don't show.

What's really bizarre is that the banners show up when using my wife, or daughters account using Firefox, or Explorer, just not showing up on mine. The people hosting the banner have not been able to come up with an answer.

Any of you have any thoughts? It's not just my banners, it's all banners on the sites that I'm advertising on. I'm running Windows 7.

Check your z-index on the CSS to see if its there but appearing behind something on that browser for some reason

Try and call it up directly via the url to see if it is there.

play around in the browsers development tools to see if you can force it.

check to see you haven't blocked the url

I second this one... either your browser could have blocked the link, or your antivirus... If you cannot directly access your banner ad through a URL, then this would be the case.

Do you have a link to your ad which you can share? Maybe it would help.

Here's the link: Work at Home Business Opportunities - WAHM.com It's banner ad at the top of the page 728 x 90 (Auto Recruiting Platform) you can't miss it.

Also on the same page their is a text ad in premium ads below the red star ads with the headline: Create Extra Income I can't view either one on my computer's account, but if I go into my wife or daughters account on the same computer I see the ads fine. For the classified ads none of the classified ads show meaning my ads or anyone elses. Thanks for the help!

Ok, it's a google ad. I can see the ad on my computer.

You said you were using Firefox. Do you have adblock for Firefox installed? That is a common reason. Try a different browser (IE or Chrome), and you'll know if that's the cause.

Or if you're using an antivirus, look at the ad blocking settings (If you're using Kaspersky, you should check under Settings - Protection - Anti Banner settings, and see if you have blocked anything of googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com)

I can see the banner (Chrome/Firefox on Mac). It's safe to say that there's something weird going on with your browser or computer.

Have you already restarted the browser? Perhaps even rebooted the computer... It's pretty rare, but I've seen a browser completely cease to load new content even when it seems to be working properly. It may not be apparent unless you've building a page and constantly changing stuff.

Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Okay I found the problem. It was an ad removal program. In Firefox I went to tools then to ad-ons, then extensions and found Ads Removal 1.0. I disabled it and everything works fine. Apparently Firefox now enables this when updating.

This has some profound implications for those using advertising to promote ther site/products.As people have this enabled without knowing advetisers are losing potentially many impressions.

I have a friend who's pretty knowlegeable about what's going on in the Internet world, and it seems this is a big deal. Advertisers having their ads cut off by Firefox, and probably others as well without giving consumers the choice.

Thanks all for taking the time to respond, much appreciated!
