Do you need to worry about your HTML 5 outline?

I'm working on building my first site and I have the fist prototype of the main page done. So I threw my code into this HTML 5 outliner and what I got back was nonsense. My page looks how I want it to though. I learned about the outliner from a Lynda tutorial but it didn't really explain why it's important and what it does. So is it important and what is it used for?

    If the page looks good then I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's worth fixing but not so important you can't move forward with your project.

    My try another outliner program to see if you get the same results? Chrome has an extension with good ratings.
