Which Perl Module Do I Need?

Hey there,

I have recently purchased Wes Blaylock's Simple Commission Script which allows you to pay your affiliates 100% commission via PayPal for your digital products and I have a quick question regarding Perl.

I need to install a Perl module, which module do you recommend that I install?

Thanks,
Ben Brooks

what does the script's documentation recommend?
usually when installing scripts, you never have to install a Perl module...there are hundreds of them! Perl is already installed on most hosting accounts, so you shouldn't have to do anything but follow the script's installation instructions to the letter.

Hey Karen, thankyou for your reply.

Below is a download link for the script, maybe you could take a look and let me know what you think.

I have zero experience with perl so i'm very confused by it.

With regards to hosting I host my own sites with a reseller account and there are no perl modules currently installed on the account that I want the script installed on.

      Thanks,
      Ben

hey Ben, the download link doesn't work..it just takes me to the main page and I would have to sign up to get the script.

Since you joined this membership site, is there no support for the scripts they are offering for download?...usually scripts come with instructions and a support forum

Hey Karen, please accept my apologies, I should have tested the link.

The correct link to download the script is:

          http://membershipsiteprofits.info/simplecommission.zip

There is no support forum for this script, I have also emailed the creater but still no reply.

          Thanks,
          Ben

I have followed the instuctions to the letter and entered the correct path to perl in the .cgi files

But when I login to my cPanel and click on 'Perl Modules' it says there are no modules installed on the account.

      Hey Ben

just looked at the script. you don't need modules..
you just need the path to Perl that's it!
follow the rest of the instructions in install.txt and the script will work as it is
