Where to earn money programming?

I've been on numerous forums making money, but I want to expand my reach.

I could release a product, but I don't know how I would market it.

I've tried websites like freelancer, etc.

What can I do?

    My experience is to focus on retaining higher level clients that pay more, instead of many lowly level clients that cause you to lose your mind and go broke. Instead of focusing on reach focus on upgrading your clientele, which for the most part don't hang out in forums.

    Find a partner to work with. You can do the programming, they can do the marketing. This is a great way to go so you are not stretched so thin.

      When the product you try to release involves programming than this is the right forum and you will find help here, but you have to be a bit more concrete about it.

      If it is about how you should start to promote then this is definitely the wrong place.
      You have to go to:depending on your concrete questions you will get the answers in these different sub forums.

      You can start cold calling local companies that do not have a website and convince them that they need one, also local companies will pay far more than internet clients if you advertise yourself correctly to them.
