Creating Licensed Software

I have designed a premium word press plugin. The developer I hired to create it is not sure how to make so it requires a keycode upon installation that can control how many times it is installed or even prevent it from being installed without a valid key.

I gotta believe there is some opensource code someplace or maybe some software you can buy that does this.

Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Is it php ? if yes then it can be easily nulled. So i dont think licensing will matter.

There's quite a few options for this to be honest, I've used a standalone license manager script (i.e. not based inside Wordpress) and added the license check code to plugins without issue.

One possible option for you (which I'll be testing shortly) is this from CodeCanyon - WordPress - Wordpress Licensing System Basic | CodeCanyon

The feature set is pretty comprehensive and it's dirt cheap ($18) so might be worth you taking a look if you've not got something sorted already.

    Cheers
