App / resource to extract all the images on my site?

I need to be able to view ALL the images on my site so I can purge all the old, no longer relevant etc.

In CPanel you can only see file names. In Google search-by-image I'm not seeing all the images, I know some are repeated multiple times etc. that are not showing up.

I need an app or resource that will display absolutely every image file on my website and show the file path. Ideally with the option to download them for archiving.

cant you use FTP and just browse you sites folder structure?

I would have thought all images would be in 1 folder.

I can do that in cpanel as well but it's no use as I cannot see the images only filenames.

So why not FTP to your site and download the folder containing the images?

I manage very large sites with thousands of images. They are not all in one folder. I would much rather be able to preview them first than have to download basically the entire site.

Are they in a public folder, you should be able to access them through the browser ex www.mysite.com/public/img/someimg.jpg or without you could see them as a list www.mysite.com/public/img/ then click on one to view and decide if you want to save that.

If you can't access them you would need to set proper permssions on that folder assuming it's within your site directory. Example in apache you would be serving var/www/yoursite/public_html/index.html and within that public_html resides your images.

I think I understand you correctly, if not well sorry lol.

EDIT: you say you cant see the file path.. well if they are in the same location just go to the image on the site right click and OPEN IMAGE IN NEW TAB... that should show the path in the url... you can delete the image name in the url /myimage.jpg erase that and the browser should display the contents within that folder... I hope this helps... you say you have multiple sites but if the images for each site go into the same image folder this should work.. you just may need to do this for each site...

There is a free windows software that lets you download all the source code and images of any website online and browse the site locally without internet connection. I use it at work all the time to backup a new client's old website when we dont have ftp access.

    www.httrack.com

works good for me, hope it helps you.
