I've had my travel directory up and running for a few months now, and traffic has been building nicely. The last toolbar PR update saw the homepage go from PR0 to PR3 and this has been acheived with 100% whitehat techniques. The directory is listed on all the major directory lists and has recently undergone the first stage of what will be a complete redesign.

Part of the redevelopment I'm undertaking is the inclusion of article-based content to help boost the relevence of the site and provide some much needed textual content - something that a lot of link directories lack. I'm planning a series of articles over the coming months, but for initial population I've used public domain articles from an article directory that allows re-publication with attribution.

While my site will never allow public article submissions I'm offering my fellow warriors the opportunity to submit your own travel articles directly to me for inclusion in the site for free. All articles will published under permanent seo-friendly URLs and will also be featured on the homepage of the directory until they get knocked off by newer articles. You can link out to your site(s) from anywhere within the article up to 3 times, so this is a great opportunity to acquire some contextual backlinks from an up-and-coming travel site that's being actively developed. Oh yes, and did I say it's free?

"What's the catch?" I hear you say. Well, there is none - I'm just a nice guy, that's all. I figure it'll be a while until I get around to writing all the content I want to, and if I'm using articles pulled from other sources I might as well open it up for my fellow warriors as a gesture of goodwill. Naturally a mention of my site on your blog or a backlink from your travel site(s) is always appreciated, but certainly isn't necessary.

All travel related articles will be considered providing they comply with the following:

1. Articles must be travel/vacation related and should be at least 500 words long

2. You may include up to three outgoing links to quality, travel related websites. External sites you link to must themselves comply with the standard submission guidelines of the directory (which can be found at http://www.mytraveldirectory.net/submit.php)

3. Articles must be original and you must have publication rights for the content. No PLR content will be considered, but articles already published on other websites are welcome, as long as they're yours to start with. You will retain all rights to any articles you submit and are just conferring publication rights to me.

4. You can submit multiple articles if you like, but I might not publish them all (or at least not immediately).
