Zayad, A three-way link exchange works like this:

1. I have two websites abc.com (say pr-3) and xyz.com (say pr-4)
2. You have two websites def.com (say pr-3) and ghi.com (say pr-4)

two-way link exchange (or) regular link swapping:

1. abc.com gives backlink to def.com. And, def.com gives backlink to abc.com
2. xyz.com gives backlink to ghi.com. And, ghi.com gives backlink to xyz.com

Three way link exchange (makes it almost impossible for google to find out that a link exchange has happened ):

1. abc.com gives backlink to def.com. And, def.com gives backlink to xyz.com
