Free Link Swapping Thread

So it occurs to me that we don't have something like this and we really should. We are a big community with lots of sites, and backlinks are the currency of the web. Why not work together?

If you want links to your sites do the following:

• Post with your general niches in a list

• Provide your preferred method of contact. PMing is fine.

That way we can just search this thread for the niche we want a link in and make the trade.

Rules:

• DO NOT post your website links in this thread, just your niches. No sense in exposing everything to everybody.

• All links should either be in-content or site wide (blogrolled). No links pages as that is a big waste of time.

• Avoid reciprocal linking if possible. They aren't bad, but you get more benefit for a one-way link.

• Don't worry overly much about the PR of the pages, an incontent and relevant link is worth much more than a high PR link on a non related website. (hint: DO promote your links on other peoples pages, this gets the link spidered faster and provides more authority back to you. Good IMers always promote their links)

• Be polite

Nobody should laugh at you for asking a genuine question. A linkswap is easy-

You ask the person who has a blog in your niche for what url they want a link to and what anchor they want. Y
ou find a relevant post or blog of yours and make an offer to put up their link on your page in exchange for a link from them on their page.
You both put up the links and you're done.
It's best if you can avoid recipricol linking, meaning don't link to the same page he is linking to you from. It's better if you can get a link from him on a different domain.
