I am a bit familiar with SEO but it seems like it has changed from years ago. From what all I know is how to put links into my signature on forums and link exchange with other blogs, but these two methods don't seem effective or worth it anymore from what I hear.

I have an online drop shipping company and I am selling sports jerseys for pets, mainly dogs. Collars, Leashes, shirts etc.

What is the BEST way to go about SEO? I want to save money and do SEO myself that will be beneficial. I have lots of free time at home but what are the most effective SEO services that will create backlinks, traffic, rank my site for keywords like "Dog Jerseys Online" on google and my site shows up.

I used google keyword tools and I did some research on keywords from my site/niche and I see where it says high competition, medium, etc.

There are no full answers. SEO evolves and has many facets. I been grinding hard for 3 years now and am just scratching the surface in a meaningful way.

It takes a while just to get a handle on the fundamentals. What's important is to get them down then start building your knowledge from there.

There's no easy answer to "how do I do SEO?" it just doesn't exist.

Simply put you will have to spend money by either hiring someone or buying quality links (start your own PBN). You could go down the route of naturally obtaining links but this will cost you time even if it doesn't cost you money, and can be quite difficult to do depending on the niche.

Even though you don't want to, if you're just starting out, I recommend hiring someone. If the person you hire manages to rank your keywords highly you can look at what he did and try to replicate it yourself on future sites. On the other hand, look into building your own PBN (plenty of information is out there) and reverse engineering your competitors.

Footer links are good only on such forums like this one, you can count only on referral traffic, not for organic one.

SEO evolving every month, there are no shortcuts, you can follow two routes

    1. Churn & Burn
    2. Long term - very time consuming, pricey and also risky as any SEO technique is these days, the tehniches called today "safe" can be called risky tomorrow because google changes it`s mind all the time.

    Hi,

SEO is tricky and I must say I gave up learning it, so I have been using some pretty fast methods.. But Using Googles own Google Alert tool for finding niche related stuff i can get backlinks and traffic from and FAcebook notes gives me the rankings and traffic i need. Viral traffic and high rankings for nearly any keyword within a few days you can do with especially Facebook notes. Just my two cents

SEO starts in your website internal pages structure, your domain name, your content quality and quantiy, also SEO starts on your mindset. If you feed and keep your customer or reader in mind by providing good content, etc Theoretically links, backlinks, likes, shares and more SEO juice is supposed to come by default..

So accord to Google SEO is a mere consequence of providing a quality website to your targeted audience is that simple on its core concept.

The biggest secret to SEO is focusing on a keyword that has NO COMPETITION when you enter it into Google. Put quotes around the term. If the resulting figure ranges from 0 to 500, you SHOULD get a basic ranking within 3 days.

You should also incorporate the keyword 1% of the time throughout your writing. So, if you have an article that is 500 words, your keyword should be mentioned 5 times.

But if it is a keyword that has NO COMPETITION, is it worth trying to rank for it?

I think people sometimes get too hung up on finding keywords with low competition and forget the most important thing is to use keywords your potential customers actually use to find the type of products you sell. Ranking for a keyword no one uses is useless.

It is difficult. I have been trying it for a few months now and every day I learn something new. The easiest way is to pay someone. You can also learn from a coach or take some type of course. In addition I would also do research online. I am in the process of rewriting my blog now because of mistakes I made. I would put in at least 2 hours a day to working on it.
