I remember Nik0's post a while back...

I just went through one of my affiliate sites, and somebodies building PBN links to a fairly new affiliate site of mine.. The domain's are quite good too (PR2-PR4), using exact match anchor.. I can only find 4-5 links, but WTF?

Why would somebody build PBN links to my domain?

I briefly remember Nik0 saying it happened to him. New kind of blackhat? Lolz.

Since this same affiliate site got targeted a while back, I firmly believe some clown is registering new PBN sites and spinning the articles to try and get his competitors penalized. His "PBN" links to me and about 5-6 other sites, which I presume are his competitors.

This guy is trying really hard to protect his niches. JESUS!

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!

God is probably the biggest business on the planet. Might as well.

Yep, I preach about Jesus and Mohammed, and how they worked together to build Noah's Ark.

Strange, maybe the sites are penalized.

Disavow and move on. This is a new type of negative SEO since low quality blog comments/social bookmarking spam doesn't "help" anymore.

It's not exactly new. Same thing happened to Spencer Haw's "best survival knife" case study site last year where someone built a ton of backlinks to his site from PBN domains with 100% exact match backlinks.

I thought he was building the links himself until he published a post about the unwanted links. That's when I realised it was a negative SEO attempt.
