Hey guys,

I'm new to the whole SEO concept and I've been looking into keyword research using the keyword planner tool. I've noticed that the number of searches a keyword gets in canada is only a fraction of what it gets if I narrow the filter down to both Canada and America.

I'm not starting a local business or anything so the traffic doesn't need to be too focused on one area, but I'm looking for keywords with a certain number of searches per month, and I was wondering if it makes a difference that my site is being made in Canada.

I don't want to end up with a bad primary keyword because of careless research. Thanks, any input is appreciated.

Shouldn't make a difference if your site is being made in Canada. As long as your keywords are not built towards Canada or a region in specific, you will be coupled together with results from all over on SERPS.

By your site being made in Canada, do you mean you have a .ca domain or?
