I enter a keyword in Google and take one of the ranking site and compare it to my website.

The below tools show that my site should be same or stronger.

PageRank Checker - Instantly Check Google PageRank!

I also check http://www.digbacklink.com/info which does not seems to show any bad backlink.

Any thing else I can check ?

Hey dude, try and be more specific in your questions. I have no idea what you're asking here.

If you're asking..."Hey why is my site not ranking for the keyword _______?" then we might be able to offer suggestions.

SEO is very straightforward, but there are a ton of moving parts to it, and you have to make sure you understand what you're doing. Ranking for keywords that your site is relevant to, well that is the first step.

I would suggest looking at your webmaster tools and analytics and see what your site is ranking for and then expand on those keywords deeper. Meaning, go out and get longer-tail keywords that your site is ranking for, and build a topic (via content) around that topic.

Yes I have a three letter keyword which don't work for my site. However the tools I mention earlier shows that my competitor don't have those keywords either but still list at 3rd place. Let me PM you the keyword.

I can't pretend to know what your 'competitors' situation is, but if you don't have the word in the Title, subheadings or even text - the likelihood of ranking for it is low and probably non-existent.

Sure, someone ranks for it. You could search "learn how farts taste like ice cream" and someone will rank for it, but it's accidental. My point is that just because a site is there doesn't mean much.

If you want your site to be there, include it in your text at the very least and more favorably in the subheadings or title.

As previously mentioned, SEO is much more complex than those two tools will indicate.

You need to let the Google Search know your website exists..there are several ways to do this
    1. You need to register your site's URL (web address) with Google Search -- see reference
    2. You can register your site with Google Webmaster Tools -- see reference
    3. You can add Google Analytics to your site -- see reference
    4. The most powerful way to get into Google Search (and any other search engine) is to get other websites related to yours to link to you . This may not be easy but it's the most effective way to gat into the search results and get a good ranking.
