web2.0 for tier1, is this good technique?

Hello all!
I have some questions regarding my seo technique i'm working at.
Basically i have about 100 keywords i want to rank my site for(maybe much i know) but those are all long keywords with not so much competition and with different variations of keywords...for example if my niche was buy furniture online, other keywords would be how to buy furniture online, where to buy furniture online, websites for furniture buying..or something like that...
I'm using web2.0 as tier1 and some pdf submissions with unique articles on web2.0 and pdf submission websites, and i'm buliding links to that tier1 url's and that is how i work so far..so my questions for this is: Is this good method or maybe i should add more tier 1 for each of my keyword, or maybe i'm doing something which is not good here, what do you suggest using as tier1, or should i link more to my money site(because now 80% of backlinks i build goes to tier1 and about 20% goes directly to my website)?
Any advice will be appreciated, thank you for reading.

Private Blog Network (PBN) is a good a way to rank better keyword within a short period of time. But some days ago, some people find this harmful for their main blog (money making blog), Google just de-index some of their blog page and their rank fall.

So it is better to take care about PBN.

Yes, you can rank using your approach. The volume of links you will need for tiers 1 and 2 will depend on how competitive the terms are you targeting. It can often be useful to have a third tier as well.

For very competitive terms it can be a good idea to supplement your approach with private blog network links. Use the tier 1 web 2's to give you good anchor text diversity, and then use the PBN links to focus on the main keywords you are targeting.

Well said. I generally use web 2.0s and other link types for variation and PBNs to do the heavy lifting.

It could be harmful if you do it WRONG. And wrong means -> copied content, spun content, BAD backlinks, keyword stuffing, etc... If you don't know HOW to do it, better don't even try!
