What can we expect as SEO experts in 2015?

I'm interested to see what you all think. I think 2015 will see a decrease in backlink importance, a shift towards more local SEO vs. high PR/Quality Score and a huge focus on mobile UX.

What are your thoughts for what coming next year?

You can expect good site structure & relevancy to still last for years...

You can expect more people to call themselves SEO experts that shouldn't.

Several things will be new, first of all, the Google PageRank will no longer exist. Or at least, it will still stay the same as it was in late 2013.

PageRank is dead, as JohnMueller said recently:
Google to Phase Out PageRank - It's Already Dead!

But I think besides PageRank, the MOZ Bar metrics will become more popular.
Now that people won't see the PR moving, they will be forced to use the MOZ Bar's metrics like the DA, PA, MozRank. This benefits the sites that performed badly with PageRank.

I think the PR's demise will bring new trends... and perhaps guest articles and link sales will become more popular (as they were before Penguin and Panda).

I also think eventually there will be little or not difference between "nofollow" and "dofollow". I don't know what sense it will have to have either one or the other... since, PR would cease to exist...

Google will continue to use internal PR (only visible by them) to evaluate sites. This change just means that Google will no longer release PR information to the public; backlinks will continue to influence the rankings of sites in a massive way.

Yes, of course they will continue to use the internal PR, but because we won't see it, we will no longer be frustrated about it
