For a site hit by Penguin would it be advised to delete a link from their directory even though it is a high pr and domain authority, etc.?

Thanks

generally 'directories' are a pretty big give away - even if they are 'spam free'

as its good authority - how much of that is actually passed onto your page there? Probably not a lot - so you won't be losing much by removing your link.

Directory links cause so many problems that even if this was an amazing domain, I'd still advise to remove it. While others will disagree with me directories are the reason that many sites were hit by Penguin. I firmly believe that's what hit me last year with the penguin roll out and it wasn't till I removed them that I could recover with the last refresh.

    I would suggest removing it.

Thanks. I think for directories the only ones I'd keep would maybe be industry specific ones but otherwise get rid of whatever other ones I can.

Delete directory links. These days you'd have trouble finding good directories. All the good directories seem to be closing down anyways, leaving the scum directories.
