My Alexa ranking is not changing?

Hi all,

In these recent days I have observed that My website www.cloudags.com Alexa ranking is not changing constantly, even the backlinks are not changing. Earlier i observed that there was a huge change on a daily basis but now I hardly see the change. Can anybody help me to get better ranking in global and regional ways.


Also for few keywords my website was appearing on 1st page 1 result but now I could hardly see it appearing in the first page. I recently verified my website with one of the biggest anti virus company and from then am experiencing the trouble.

    Alexa rank is depend upon the users who are coming to your website, if they're using alexa toolbar in their browser only then your alexa rank will improve.

    As far as keywords ranking is concerned, Google recently introduced Penguin 3.0 update and you might be the victim of it.

    Google introduced this update on 17th Oct, 2014, and if you're noticing decline in your traffic form same date then you're certainly a Google Penguin victim. You should check your Google analytics account for more details.

    Yes this is depending on user. I have seen your website it's DA-23, PA-30, it is not bad, but I have seen you can't make any link within 60 days. So how to increase Alexa rank..! You have enter a link in this forum, I think it will help to increase Alexa rank after google update. Good Luck.

      That gets my vote for the biggest piece of excrement for today.

      Care to explain WTF the alexa rank has to do with backlinks?

    Every body will not have alexa toolbar installed, though you have lot of traffic you will not ranked high in Alexa. The best way to increase Alexa ranking is install alexa toolbar and start surfing your own site, install alexa widget in your website and start promoting your website through SM (Social Media ) and in Forums.

    Concerning Alexa rank, please note the following:
    1. Alexa rank mostly tracks those visits from users that has Alexa tool bar installed. The number you see in their website is just a rough figure of how Alexa "thinks" your website is getting. It is not important to pay attention to this number and you must not worry about it from start.
    2. Alexa ranks can be manipulated easily by anyone really. They are not even a source of trustworthiness. It is a number that "sometimes" it is nice to note or read but other than that, it means nothing really.

    Concerning your website, i recommend the following:
    1. Check Google's webmasters for penalties. Also make sure your website is not hit by any penguin or panda updates.
    2. Check your website for malware and security issues. Make sure your server and files are well protected around.

    Without mentioning it really, keep your focus on your high quality content and increase your engagement with your users through social media networks. SEO and rankings are not everything when it comes to marketing.

    P.S: I have checked quickly your links profile and it seems that it is really weak and needs also more diversification for higher rankings.

      I know one reason some of these guys are fascinated by Alexa.

      If you go to Elance (probably also other similar sites) & take the SEO test, their test ask questions about Alexa.

      I once considered doing freelance work on Elance a while back until I started reading their SEO test questions that had nothing to do with SEO. If I remember correctly another one of their questions was suggesting keyword meta tags be used. Basically blind leading the blind situation.

      Anyways... I think these ill-informed questions originate from the freelance sites (test questions).

    Alexa is not changing or updating ranking that frequently as it does earlier. So you should keep checking if its only your ranking or ranking of others also. If others ranking are changing and not your then take some steps.

    Always focus on traffic and your followers.

    Alexa mainly depends on the traffic to your website and its just waste of time thinking about it and its better if you use some other tool to find your ranking.
