Domain Suggestion for New Project- High PR domain or New Domain?

I am planning to begin a new website in a tough niche, haven't tried my hands in this niche before, but i have heard people saying it is very tough to rank in this niche.
I have two options here,
1. A pr 5 domain. Not very brandable but not very difficult to remember. Can be used.
or
2. A fresh new domain matching my project.
The investment in this project is very high, hence i expect very good results from SEO immediately. That is why I am confused which one to choose.
