For each page where you left a link to your money site, enter it in Ping-o-Matic! -- that alerts the search engines that the page changed, and they'll come crawling.

I have a similar question for all you "pingers"... when you ping after a backlink, do you ping the main site homepage or do you ping the page your profile is actually on (or blog, etc.)? I've always pinged my profile page, but lately I've been wondering if I should be doing the main page instead...?

if your link to your profile doesnt appear on the homepage then there's no point in pinging the home page

if the homepage contains an rss feed that shows your link then it would be good to ping the rss feed directly

It's best to ping your home page and also the rss feed at the same time. i get better result this way.

Is this about pinging for backlinks? That cannot be done easily. Pingomatic just looks like the pingoat service. A copycat of that.

Pinging basically lets google know that your site is there & updated. It will be good to do pinging after creating backlinks if they have not done so.

when you have made your backlink you need to copy the url of the page that shows your backlink overview and ping it ..then make a RSS feed from that url by putting it into Ponyfish RSS Feed Builder then bookmark that rss feed at a couple of decent sites like

And by doing all the above you should get all your backlinks nicely indexed by the big "G"

Pinging backing is good step in SEO.
It helps in indexing the profile link in the Google.
Pingoat and SEnuke are really good software for pinging.

For indexing your valuable backlinks to search engine, you should ping them. When you will ping them, search engine will get a notification about your link. If search engine do not know about your link, then they do not do great work for your site.

It means letting major search engine know that there is some new content on your site please visit and have a look... but if you do link building and then ping those links so that search engine can see your link in the anchor text then its a different thing, do not ping your backlinks in large numbers in a short duration of time as it may get you penalised..

I think about 6 months to 1 year+ ago, mass pinging tons of backlinks doesn't work anymore... anyone notice if you bulk ping thousands of backlinks all point to your website to mass ping servers doesn't work any more?

It seems like Google has implement a filter to strip away ping spam, and if you find that pinging with a lot of backlinks in the shortest time doesn't work, how about spreading them 100 sites per ping to fewer ping servers, would that work?

Yes, it does, and my recommendation is - ping to less than 10 ping servers at a time, and ping only 100 backlinks or less (that link to the same money site) at a time work much better! Anyone had similar experience?

Hey i dont fully understand this. I created an rss feed of all my backlinks. I put my rss feed link where it says to. Where it says blog name, do i put my website, or the website of the backlink, because my rss feed will have over 25 backlinks on it, thanks

To ping a back link means to make the google spider to index your backlink. Here are some good methodes to do that:

Method 1
1.Collect and make a list of the Backlinks you have made like
2.Now make a text file with the list.
3.Go to Pingfarm.
4.Upload the text file you created.
5.Let the ping complete.
6.Now you have successfully pinged and is a step closer to Google Indexing.
Method 2

1. Copy and paste your links in links2rss.com
2. Create the feeds with the click of a button
3. Head over to feedlisting.com. Submit your feeds
4. Wait 24-48hrs and your backlinks will be on google.

Method 3

Create a blog on Blogger.com, create a simple post with some content (scrape it from article direcories), create another post with your backlink, index you blog (social bookmarking, scarapebox or even your site)

It's always good to ping your backlinks after submitting them. It lets the search engines know to crawl the backlinks and discover your link. With HUGE lists, I've always used Ping BackLinks since it pings about 1000-1500 URLs/minute.

Pinging is a process where you are telling the search engines that a web page has been updated. The problem with backlinks is not many of them are indexed which would be a waste of time and effort, so pining each backlink will ensure they are crawled and counted as a backlink to your site.

If you have a huge list, then use bulkping.com to ping all url's at once.

It could be easily done with Pingomatic. Just create a single spreadsheet with the links where you posted your website and then post them in Pingomatic, check all networks and just ping them 1 by 1

I haven't tried angela and paul's backlinks. But since they are a backlink service (as far as I know), they surely have a bunch of low quality links that take time to be crawled and index.

Pinging is a process of pushing your links to get indexed by search engines. This process is not merely necessary because search engines will eventually find and crawl your backlinks.

I personally never ping my backlinks. I just let the spiders find them naturally. Sure; it may take a few months to find them ALL, but I see good, consistent results.
