Social Bookmarks
- SEO |
I am relatively new to SEO and recently finished reading the book SEO Made Simple (4th Edition) by Michael Fleischner. The book recommends a SEO campaign which includes 25 Social Bookmarks per month.
Fleischner does a great job explaining the basic concept of a Social Bookmarking and the many ways it benefits SEO, but the specific details are a bit blurry. He recommends using multiple bookmarking accounts because using a single account and bookmarking the same sites will accrue less value than the alternative.
The book goes into no further detail. Trying to find further information, I researched several websites and forums. Most suggested only bookmarking one webpage per account. I also learned that each account has to be affiliated with a different email address.
I am assuming the proper way to implement this social bookmarking campaign would be to pick 25 of the best social bookmarking sites. Each month create a new email address, then use that one email address to create a new profile for each previously picked bookmarking site.
Doing this will allow me to place one new link per each new profile per month. The links will total 25 until I expand the campaign. Is this the correct way to do this? Do I need to do more or less?
Also my research concluded, I use a different description and tags for each entry. Is it even necessary to use these. Can't I just place the URL and/or anchor and not use a description or tag. Seems the description would be hard not to duplicate after doing multiple bookmarks.
Sorry the post is so long. I think i'm over complicating things as usual but wanted insight before continuing. Thanks for your help.
