SEO for an Actor?

Hi,

Well, I just managed to get a contract with an actor/writer/author and he wants some SEO work done for his personal website. What is the best approach to take with this, considering he is looking to be known world wide?

I have his site listed on wikipedia, IMDB, etc.

I have some ideas already - I would like to know the community thoughts

      I would go for youtube for exposure and traffic... content marketing on an epic scale, build up a social media presence... - guest articles, pod cast interviews and use of link baiting etc..

    Instead of rankings for that website, concentrate more on Social media which will explore more than organic rankings, Yes youtube is also one of the best choice to get explore. Ask him for latest movie images and post it in Pinterest. Create a blog in that website and write quality articles about his movies etc and promote that blog in social media

    Why in the world would an actor need SEO? You should have told him no.

    Producers and casting agents are not going to Google to find people to put in their films.

    dont use more than 10%- 15% of direct targeting keywords. the rest should be generic words, domain names, etc... and include some social media posting of qualtiy content through as much chanells as possible

    Why would you agree to take on a client for SEO without knowing the first thing about what strategy you're going to use to get him what he wants?

    "Why yes sir, I will install that sink for you, let me just read this Dummies book about plumbing first..."

    For what it's worth, don't bother with the SEO route at all in my opinion. That bloke needs an PR manager.
