No organic traffic

Hello,

I starter a website last month. Currently I have over 30 high quality posts on it. I hired a content writer to write 1000 words post on each topic. The sad thing is that I have 0 organic traffic. I know that my website requires some seo etc, but still there should be some traffic. Ive no idea why this is happening.

On the other hand I have another website which is 2 weeks old and has 9 articles and its getting 70-80 visit/day from google with no seo.

Need your help

    No there shouldn't.

    Why do people think that just building a site entitles them to getting traffic?

    You have to do more than just building a site.

    You're other site that is getting traffic got lucky. I would double check that it is real traffic and not just bots though.

    Did you target any keywords in those 30 posts? If you didn't, don't expect any traffic. If you did, start building some links and the traffic will begin trickling in.

      Good content is 1/2 of success. The other half is optimisation. Without right optimisation your content will drown among competitors. Optimisation is not only in getting dozens of backlinks. Right keyword density, right meta description, img attributes will do the trick.

    Try to invest in social media marketing in addition to your SEO campaigns. To get real traffic to your website you need to follow up with many traffic generation methods other than SEO. SMM and paid ads are two decent ways to get targeted traffic if done properly.

      All depends on the niche for something like social media. A lot of social media traffic are window shoppers with no intent on buying or doing anything useful.
      • If I was selling concert tickets, I would go local/social.
      • If I was selling web hosting I would be targeting HTML help sites & SEO.

      All traffic isn't the same.

      Competition can also throw a wrench in plans. Example I wouldn't waste my time selling concert tickets with SEO, tickets are date/time sensitive & SEO is unnecessarily too competitive for that specific niche while easier traffic sources exist (ex: social traffic).

    There is not only one factor that defines the ranking of a website. Mostly there are various other factors as well. And also in your case the term may depends on the keyword competition, industry. keep doing SEO it will surely come up.

    I suppose sometime we will have to be very careful when we are building sites. before taking any step of building site and content writing you have to do some keyword research and get the keyword search volumes. After you have gotten these figure then only then can you go on with site building failure do that will lead to you failing in your site.

    I'd suggest getting the keyword research done before undertaking the content marketing / link building strategy as it typically uncovers a lot of useful content / link building ideas to add to the mix.

    What is organic traffic: It is traffic that you get to your website that you did not directly pay for. Note the word directly. somehow there is still has to be some cost on your part. whether you are going to outsource your link building or do it yourself you still need to spend time or money.

    What you could do is every social site you register on make sure to post a link to your website on there.


    Organic traffic takes time my friend. but take heart, if you build enough link, and put in the hard work soon enough it will pay off. I will suggest you give yourself sometime for this to materialize.
