Backlinks to your citation sites

Is there any value in having thousands of back links to a businesses citation sites?

I saw this ad:
"I will give you a Scrapebox blast of 20,000+ LIVE guaranteed backlinks. Huge Link Juice.
I will include a very detailed report with all the URLs that your submissions appears on. I always over deliver on these. Its not uncommon to end up with 35 or 40 thousand.
Select different URLs (unlimited) and keywords (unlimited). Evade the "sandbox" and boost your SERP position!"
I just wonder if linking to yellowpages, google+, youtube, citysearch, etc would be of any local seo value.

Thanks for your input

Talk to Mike Friedman here on the SEO forum, he does a lot of local SEO.

Those Scrapebox link blast are bottom of the barrel links, I'm just not sure If pumping up a citation page with links actually does anything since a citation page doesn't always include an actual backlink to the money page/site.

Citation sites like GMB, Yelp, Foursquare, Hotfrog, etc etc don't really need more backlinks to rank. Your site needs the backlinks (maybe not those spammy ones though.)

Citation sites will outrank your site most of the time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Mike Long's OMG guys are beasts at doing that. Youtube, Yelp, Weebly, Facebook, along with the main site all at the top of the first page. It's impressive to see.

Good question.. I hear both sides. Not sure if it will work but maybe someone who knows could chime in

I have a BBB and Facebook page on 2nd page nd wonder if something like that could help move it to page 1. Although why rank a Facebook page.. But if it knocks one of my competitors to the next page why not

OP.. If this is a cheap service why not give it a shot? I don't think it will harm anything. I would wait for a few people to chime in first.

I may ask you who the service is from and give it a shot

I would not recommend ScrapeBox much especially after Google's latest updates. Getting quality backlinks though to your social media profiles will surely help your local SEO.

One technique we follow at our SEO agency is that we direct quality relevant links from our private blog networks to the social media profiles to increase the power of link juice and relevancy around.

    Hope that helps!

I would hate to build a PBN to my tier 2 citation sites ...

That would get a little pricey
