Do you guys know a better way to manage and to keep track of your keyword list? I am sure that might have software out there that helps with that but I don't know any. Every month it takes me forever to update my keyword list and my adword account. Here is the process that I do, Iam sure that I am doing too much work:

1st find new keywords on adwords report and google analytics
2nd write the new keywords on a excel spread sheet dividing them by adgroups
3rd double check if the new keywords already exist on the main excel spread sheets that I have for each adgroup
4th add the new keywords on the main excel spread sheets
5th put the quotation marks and brackets on each keyword ( I use mike-marketing tools for that)
6th add the new keywords on their belonging adgroup on my adword account

I need help, cuz I cannot continue doing this if I have multiple accounts

Look, if you can't find a product/service that does this, go hire someone to program it. That's money in the bank.

Btw, did you say "write"? You actually type all of them out onto your spreadsheet, or do you mean you export the keywords?

If you want a fast way of checking whether a keyword is already on your list or not is use their negative box. You basically can do a search for keywords you are interested in, but not include certain keywords at the same time and if it's already mentioned in the box above, then it just won't show up. You'll then have only keywords that are new.

      Hi Wunderbar,

Just like lenflorida, I store all my keyword lists as straight text documents (notepad).

For combining and managing those list I use a great little tool called Keywordpad, and it's free to boot.

Once I have the final keyword list I'm working with, I drop them into a tool of my own creation that automatically builds optimized campaigns based on my own preferences. These new campaigns are imported into AdWords Editor where they are checked automatically for any issues and uploaded to my AdWords accounts.

When you have hundreds of thousands of keywords, automation is a must.

          Hi Wunderbar,

I work for a company called WordStream, we offer software for keyword discovery and management, and it sounds like our software does everything you're looking for. There's a free trial at the /try page.

Keyword pad is also good, and this is pretty neat (and free): rimmkaufman.com / rkgblog / 2008 / 01 / 27 / duck-stemming/ for keyword grouping.
