Dear All,

I am new to SEO ( though i am in internet marketing for long time).

Long Term Goal: Build a wordpress website which will earn 20$/per day from adsense

How many website?: 10

So far implemented one website for DOG niche.

what i did so far?

1. My website is just 10 days old.

2. Bought a WP theme and created a website for dog training.

3. Installed Yoast SEO plugin.

4. Installed social sharing plugin.

5. Each and every post i do manually and make sure that it is yoast compliance.

6. I focus one keyword on each and every post.

7.My post is published in Facebook, twotter, stumpleupon, pinterest etc etc automatically..

8.I submit my sitemap to google and bing two days once and pages are started to indexing

I started to receive traffic from stumpleupon and twitter, but not even a single from keyword (search engine).

I know it will take time, i have patience , but my question is am i on the right track to achieve my long term goal? I am planning to create one more website and follow the same steps i did for my first website.

How long it will take to get traffic from search engine?

My website How to train a dog

Any help and suggestion is appreciated.

It really depends on how competitive the keywords you are trying to rank for and then the # of quality backlinks to your site.

I would try and score some authority links from other relative sites in the dog training niche.

Get active on dog training forums and start branding yourself as a leader in that niche, creating relationships with other dog trainer sites, and reaching out for guest posting opportunities.

1 good backlinks from a high PR (authority) site + relative to your niche = huge boost in SEO rankings.

Also keep blogging for keywords in your niche, pains, problems, wants, needs, desires, tutorials, how-to articles, etc.

If you stick to a regular posting schedule you will start to rank for more long-tail terms which typically bring in the majority of traffic.

You can also look into using a link-building software to automatically build backlinks for you. I used it and it did wonders for my site. Just make sure you use the right settings to avoid getting penalized.

My site (a new domain) started a little traffic from Bing probably 2-3 weeks after it launched. But Google was a whole different story - took about 3 months to rank #1 for the title of the site.

The dog training niche reminds me of the old ebook of how to make money online.

Firstly, I don't think you would have the patience to run a dog training niche neither do you have the skills or funds to make it get relevant traffic.

Secondly, I don't know how you did your keyword research which is very detriment to your adsense earning.

Thirdly, the adsense model is scary...I heard some people won't touch it with a ten foot pole but hey, personally I love challenges and ain't scared to take on one with a long spoon. Besides, many sites still earn solely from adsense.

Fourthly, is your website built the right way for your business model? I often tackle each business model with the right type of site layout otherwise the conversion rate will suck.

The content is pretty bad. If you are going to pursue this, you should hire a writer that can write in English.

To answer your question though, with what you have done so far, you probably will never see any substantial traffic from Google. There are far too many sites about training dogs for you to have any hope of standing out.

Why not start a Facebook page centered around dogs and drive traffic from that to your website? I do this with a Yorkie fan page that drives traffic to a blog with adsense and affiliate offers. I can build a fan page relatively inexpensively (less than 1 cent per fan) and push them to the website each and every day with relevant and engaging content. It is easy to find cute dog videos and pictures to post and you can get greater engagement by encouraging your fans to share. This can be quicker than organic SEO.

Keep posting the articles, unique ones and you will see the traffic after couple of weeks, but don`t expect flood of people. The only way to get the real traffic from Google is to build backlinks to your site. But pick into your 1st tier only top Web 2.0 platforms ,boost them with 2nd tier and you will see traffic quite fast. But don`t focus on top phrases only cos it`s asking for trouble. You should go for a long tail ones especially in the first period, your website is too young to compete with others who already have ranked on top keyphrases, you may raise the red flag very fast.

I would avoid Adsense and focus on affiliate programs and networks like Amazon Associates and commission junction respectively. But then, they are folks making good money from Adsense so continue with it if you wish.

You are on the right track. You just need some strong, relevant backlinks in the mix.

Getting traffic from search engine basically depend upon the keywords you are trying to rank and quality backlinks you have made for your website.

Try to get authority links from your niche based websites.

It would be really hard to earn $20/day from Adsense with such a blog... The keyword is not so bad, but if I were you, I would do Affiliate marketing with your blog, not Adsense!

  • Here is the update..

I started this blog 3 weeks back..

All my pages posted so far have been indexed by Google and Bing. I don't see any complaint from google / bin ( except few html issues)

I haven't used any tool for link building..i am doing that manually.I found few forums related to niche and started to create backlink in those forums manually..

I know it will take time, but i feel the links will stay forever...

I see very less traffic from Bing and Goodle ( 5 or 10 UV per day), still i am happy with what i have been doing.

I am planning to use combo of Amazon affiliate with Adsense... whats your thought?

  • My first suggestion. Remove your website from this thread. Unless you want competition placing some fiverr orders for you. No but seriously, don't share your website url and or keywords ever.

    Hey Velrajan,

I'm really interested in everything you've posted here, and the feedback you've gotten from others. How close are you to achieving your goal of $20 per day? I have some thoughts that will help you hit your goal if you aren't meeting it already.

Some of your articles are easy to read and very helpful. Great content like your article on Dog Dental Care keeps readers on your site. The longer they stick around, the better the chance that they will click one of your affiliate links.

The biggest issue I noticed when viewing your site, is that most of your content is poorly written. You wrote this blog to help dog owners. Imagine how much more successful you'll be by creating content that is easy for dog owners to read.

Look at your front page, for example. How often will a native English speaker view additional pages of your site after reading what's written on the front page? I'll be honest with you. I'd close the page after reading the first sentence you wrote. Not having clear copy is going to make it difficult for you to achieve your goals, and won't get you on the front page of Google search results.

How can you fix it? Write simply. Create content that makes sense. Compel visitors to stay on your blog. You wrote the Dental Care page well. I know you can write your other pages in similar language.

If you don't take care of your content issue, you'll stop people from diving deeper into your site. You'll risk the chance of having your visitors leave your front page before they even see an affiliate link that could generate you income. To make $20 a day consistently, you want your visitors to stay on your site and see lots of different offers. Your bounce rate will decrease once you fix your writing.

After you have edited your pages (or gotten someone to edit them for you) consider working on your affiliate click through ratio. How many clicks are you sending to Amazon on an average day? I use the same Amazon Affiliate link plugin as you, and I know that there are ways to drive even more traffic to Amazon. The more traffic you send, the easier it will be to achieve your monetization goal.

If you really want to make money from your traffic, start by making your existing content readable. It's going to benefit you in more ways than one. You have a lot of great base content. Once it has been simplified, it should help you reach your goal of making $20 a day. I wish you the best on your journey, and I hope you achieve the results you're looking for.

If you have any questions about anything I suggested, feel free to contact me in a PM.

    Cheers

If your prime focus is on Adsense then dont try any linkbuilding tool or any cheap service provider, as it might get you an issue in Adsense approval. Until you got some decent Google traffic, try to use social media and promote your content in Groups, relevant forums of your niche, QA etc ..
