Webmaster forum sitemap submission still pending

About 2 days ago I submitted my new forum's sitemap to Google Webmaster but it's still pending. For my other site that I started about 6 months ago, I submitted its sitemap after about 3 days of launching the site and the sitemap was fully processed within about 5 to 10 mins.

When I submitted my forums sitemap it has about 100 pages and about 400 posts, and now its at 250 pages and 750 posts, this change occurred within about 3 days. Could the rapid increase in pages from different threads cause it to remain in pending status?

Btw most of my forum posts/threads are managed by the Wordpress forum plugin called "bbpress", and I used the Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps sitemap generator plugin to create the xml.

I even tried using the webmaster xml tester and it passed, then resubmitted it after 1 day of pending, now after resubmitting it has been pending for 3 days.

Not sure what to do.

Update:

Just checked the amount of pages I have index and it equals to 12. A few days ago I only had 5 pages indexed.

Another question: is it impossible to get traffic from Google on a particular page if the page isn't indexed? This is because on the first few days I got an average of 5 visits per day, and the only pages that were indexed were my website's main pages such as home, forum categories, contact us etc which has very little content, whereas the other 100 web pages weren't indexed but had a lot of content (pages were all forum threads with an average of about 7 posts of 50+ words each)

It is unusual because Google crawls new sites quite quickly these days. I'd say one of....your site map had errors (but you tested successfully), you have a lot of duplicate content (on-site or off-site) or you just have very thin content and a lot of overhead or lastly but not leastly Googlebot's busy right now and you'll see some shift on Monday.

I rarely see a "non-indexed" page ranking for competitive terms - why do you say it's not indexed? Do you look for it using the site: operator and if so did you search for the URL in Google? Sometimes a page can rank before Google adds it to the site: operator search but the difference is normally a few hours.

I think you should give it 'til Monday and get back to us.
