Best Place to Build Blog Backlinks to my eCommerce News and Tips Blog

Hi All,

I have recently designed a blog and am writing posts on a regular basis:

eCommerce News and Tips

Can anyone suggest any blog directories or ways to build backlinks?

I am sceptical about guest posts and blog comment backlinks, so what are the other options?

Thanks,

Simon

The best way to get backlinks to blogs (in my opinion) is to network with other bloggers in your niche. This is what is going to get you the natural, high quality backlinks that Google loves.

One great way to network is to start off by leaving valuable blog comments on other blogs in your niche. This gets you on the blogger's radar, which can eventually escalate to email and guest posting. Before long, you're good friends with the blogger.

Not sure why you're afraid of blog comments and guest posts. They're far better than blog directories, and they're certainly not going to hurt you.

Thanks for the great info - I will try and get some dofollow forum backlinks, but will also try to build a rapport with similar blog writers. Thanks, Simon

Good to hear about the networking, but I'd avoid seeking out dofollow forum backlinks. Forum links are good for human visitors to click on, but are pretty much useless in terms of SEO.

In fact, Google has made it clear that optimized forum links can actually hurt your rankings:

The general rule of thumb is that any link that can be easily reproduced (forum signature links, website profile links etc.) don't carry much value.

Guest post is good and commenting on new relevant blog with traffic is very much okay.

There are tons of ways to get links to your site but I mostly prefer PBN and outreach.
