Yes, you receive but almost them are unfollow backlinks. But still it 's still good so far. To check this, you can use ahrefs or something like that service

Please be aware that most blog comments are nofollow. However, it still generates traffic. So look for blogs with high traffic.

If the links in the comments section are do-follow, your site will receive a certain amount of link juice depending on the authority of the site and page where the link was placed.

Forget about blog comments, they are in most cases useless if we consider SEO benefits.
Try to find high traffic blogs and post valuable comments only, you will bring some referal traffic.

You could try NoDoFollow, a plugin for Firefox that will show do follow links highlighted in blue and no follows as pink.

As for how to locate do follow blogs, there are some from CommentLuv still online that allow a do follow backlink. Most times, you will have to post five or so blog comments before your backlinks become do follow.

As for whether or not the blog comment backlinks helps, that will depend on the blogs you are linking from. Backlinking from low rent blogs that have no page rank, no traffic and cover questionable topics (not even related to your site) is always a bad idea.

Yes, for blog commenting, you can receive backlink juice for your website but it can be done when you have to comment on high PR blogs because most of the blogs are nofollow.

Your approach is wrong. Commenting for backlinks is plain stupid and will lead to no good results. Leaving a valuable piece of content as a comment that drives relevant traffic back to your site is smart.

You can get link juice by blog commenting on a high PR website if and only if they allowed dofollow link. Nowadays, some websites use nofollow links and some uses dofollow links so that totally depends upon the type of blog commenting websites. But still there is a chance of getting traffic by posting relevant and valuable comments. There are various online tools through which you can check dofollow links like bagics and others

If it is nofollow then you will not receive any link juice. Link juice passes from dofollow links only.

I agree they are all nofollow and they don't pass link juice but referral traffic is also a signal for Google, so it is good for SEO.
The more referral traffic you receive from topic-related websites, higher the chances of ranking for keywords in those topics.

Perhaps there needs to be a new WF section called Online Traffic Optimization or, OTO. At the end of the day, who cares if something is ranked #1 for a keyword if people are going to the site anyway, either directly or through, say, a blog comment.

Blog commenting is most often no-follow, but links from useful comments (not spam) (in bulk) from high authority blogs definitely helps raise your site's authority (ie. Ahrefs URL rank and domain rank, Majestic TF and CF...)

If you ask me how, I'll tell you I don't know. However, I've tested this and so far, it works.

Blog comment is essential for traffic but not actually works as backlinks so create backlinks from high authority site according to your sites categories.

The problem with commenting for backlinks is, well you are thinking of the backlink and not the discussion in the blog post. If you spend your time creating new content instead of looking for blogs to gain links from it would be a much more productive method to use as your content if good enough for the search term will rank well in Google search despite how many backlinks you have. However if you can leave a quality comment people will notice it and visit your site anyway. That's just my own opinion anyway.

Blog commenting is still a good way to get traffic if you do it correctly and effectively. Don't just made generic comments like "Nice Article" or something like that. If you add something new and relevant to the topic than it will be more effective.

Yes, it does count as a backlink. Some blog comments will give better, other worse backlinks, but it still counts towards your overall "link juice".

Try to mix up different kinds of backlink profiles in order to rank better
