I have a successful site that makes me money on adsense. There is someone that has created a site exactly like mine, simillar layout, same concept, same keywords, and they are even using some of the same pictures that i am using (NOT ALL).

They paraphrased my pages and have even copied some of the tables i have word for word.

Is there anything i can do to prevent this? Is there a way i can contact google about this and report them? The site is a good niche site with not many results so i am sure they will probably rank up fairly quickly so thats why i am trying to see if i can do something about this since they literally copied my idea.

  • Contact their web host. They will get suspended for sure.

Send a DMCA notice to both them and their webhost.

If they're hotlinking your images you might be able to get Adsense to do something about them, otherwise it's kind of hard to prove who's scraping a website.

I think Adsense has a page for reporting problems, maybe do some Google searches for their contact page.

    [edit]
I would try contacting Adsense first (good luck), because If a host shuts down the scraper site, all they have to do is get another $3 host & they're back in business scraping your site a 2nd time, 3rd time, 4th time...

Hit them in the wallet first (Adsense).

BTW, a scraper site can outrank an original content site, whoever has the better SEO wins in the SERPs.

If the host shuts him down before Adsense does, he'll probably come back (scraping again).

It's like feeding a stray cat, they always come back, lol.

Shouldn't Google know that website is an exact copy of yours? It is very likely that it gets a huge punishement and it won't really get any visits.

Unfortunately that's not how SEO works.

A scraper site can outrank the domain/page that created the original content. The site with better SEO wins in the SERPs. It isn't pretty but that's reality.

Submit a report to Google about the website, Google will ban the site. Just search on Google on how to submit a report for this purpose.
And the other solution is, If you use WordPress then you can use a Plugin name WP Content Copyright to protect your content from thieves. On the other hand, If you use a custom cms then you can do it manually.

you can do the following things..

    1. Contact the Webmaster directly and ask to stop
    2. Contact the host and the domain provider and ask them to suspend their service.
    3. Contact Google

I would recommend to contact his hosting provider and domain provider.

You should also contact Google and see how they can help you.

You can use this tool to learn more about the site:
    Whois Lookup - SiteXy.com

    I hope this helps!

I wish you the best of the best!!

    Cheers!
