      I think something got lost in translation, as always.

      Does anybody actually read what google (or their mouth pieces)
      post? Why do 99% of the seo gurus quote 90% of what google
      really says? That 10% is what is always missing.

      Does not make a good story, I presume.

      If someone is quoting that forum post, without pointing out the
      obvious, then man, that would explain a lot!

      But that 10% does not make good forum conversation, does it?

        Not as laughable as you not understanding that for a metric to be alive to the public they actually have to be able to know what the value of the metric is.

        therefore Pagerank IS dead as a metric the public can use if Google never updates it.

        So simple a point and you just keep missing it over and over and over again.

        My thoughts exactly. They have their own page rank hence they are telling people to stop worrying about it because it does not matter.

      ON the other hand I won't believe they will never update it ever again until they turn off their toolbar data. Why in the world still give API access to data over a year old and never to be updated again unless you are just trying to mess with the market and keep them attached to PR.

      Turn it off and all sites show N/A but they have not done that.
