Do Amazon affiliate links effect on SEO?

In other words,
Can Amazon aff-links worsen my small website's ranking in Google?

    There are many speculations that google do not like affiliate links. Whether this is 100% true or not it is safer to use a redirect script file. Then from your site robots.txt disallow robots to crawl the redirect file.

        here is a simple redirect code name it as go.php or anything you want

        Code:
        <?php
 $ url =$ _GET[url] ;
header("Location:" .$ url);
?>
        You can then redirect any url using code something like this
        Code:
        <a href="go.php?url=http://amazon.com/affiliateurl">This is the anchor text</a>
        Remove the space between $ url also $ and _GET , I put space because the forum script does not allow php code

    Affiliate links are fine...

    the Internet is flooded with them.

    Google don't care if you're an affiliate as long as you're providing a good service to the users of your site.

    If you see half the junk I see ranking then you'll know affiliate links don't really cause any effect to SEO.

      It's only a matter of time before Google penalises those junk sites. They aren't ranking naturally. Rather, they are ranking because they gamed the system. Therefore, the junk ranking is no indication that Google has no objections to the presence of affiliate links on websites.

        Let's take out the junk sites and talk about great affiliate sites...

        Many of those rank for years on end.

    There is not good or bad effect of affiliate links on rankings. Google cares about quality contents on site and backlinks from quality sites for rankings.

    My tiny, content filled, amazon linked amazon site ranks page one in the top three positions of google for several very good medium traffic keywords. I make sales from this site daily, but it has taken 2 years to get onto page one. So Google hasn't stopped me. Its just taken a long time.
