Another 301 redirect question

Hello everyone, I have a one month site optimized for a low competition keyword. I used to have an aged domain pointing to it (no longer available) and it ranked at pos #25 with no other links build but when I removed it rankings disappeared. Since then I have build some contextual links and one day it ranks on #27 and the next day it is not found in serps. Would it be wise to buy an aged domain and do a 301 redirect to the new site? Would this speed up the proccess? Also I read that I should post something on the homepage of the domain that it's about to be redirected before forwarding it? Is this accurate?
Thanks

Instead to 301 redirect, why not build the expired domain and then post related content. Then from that related content send backlink to your money site.

I don't really like the idea of 301 redirect

Thanks for your reply! I thought about redirecting the aged domain to make google think my site is aged instead of 1 month old and as a result make it rank where it should be. I think it doesn't rank due to its "young" age.

, so google don't realized that the new domain is not a new domain because there is a 301 redirect from old domain?

That is not the case, the new domain will always remain a new domain in the eyes of search engine bots. They can acquired public records of domains that are available online.

The 301 redirect will only pass the authority (if there is), traffic
