Could a faq section boost a site?

For example imagine a site that sells tablets as their niche - a faq can provide opportunity to explain their business and products they have.

I don't know if people would read it but I imagine if so it can provide content and maybe reduce bounce rate .

    An faq site can always be good for a site coz one rule of thumb to be followed as per google is to make sites for customers not for search engines. Considering this aspect, yes an faq page is gonna be ideal for your website, However, you cannot boost your pa or da with this as it will be considered as a minor ranking signal. this might help you to reduce bounce rate.
