About a month ago I got "As a result of your site having pure spam, Google has applied a manual spam action" notice for four sites. It could be a few things, one never knows with google.

But all I have done so far is remove one thing and Webmaster Tools, under search traffic - manual actions, it now says "No manual webspam actions found".

The site I am most interested in is slowly coming back with a couple products listed under several keywords.

So under search traffic - manual actions, it now says "No manual webspam actions found".

Is my problem with Google now taken care of? Do they remove that site message or just let it sit? As I said under manual actions there is nothing now...

Thanks.

I would file a reconsideration request, outline what action you took, and see what their response is.

I would look at where it is, see if it's where it was or ranking even better now. If it's still nowhere where it was, then try to optimize further.

If after some weeks, you still dont see even the slightest changes, then like Mike said, just file for a reconsideration request (with an explanation) and see what they say.

If the manual action was there and now gone, that generally means that the manual action has expired.
That does not mean that they will not reapply it again in the future.
Unless the manual action is still there, you can not file a reconsideration request.

The absence of the message doesn't mean that the penalty has been lifted. The next time you get a manual actions message, make the required changes and request for reconsideration. For this particular site, there is no scope for a reconsideration request.
