  • Getting more traffic is all about using more of the Internet. There are some people who will make a website and not get much traffic because of a lack of marketing. Continue working on advertising your site.

First, you should try to start creating articles on your site that will rank for long tail keywords on Google. - Of course, relying on just Google isn't smart.

    Building a Following

Since I feel like your site doesn't tackle a single niche in itself, all you need is more traffic, and sometimes that can only be done by building a following online. Using Facebook to get followers can be a good stepping stone.

I feel like your content has potential to be shared with a lot of people through viral content, so strive to get your content shared and shared online. So creating great content is necessary.

Yes, I do feel like trying to rank on Google as of right now would be too much of a hassle and more of a long term thing, but at the end of the day, Google can wipe you off the front page in an instant.

        Build that following

Couldn't agree more. SEO used to be paramount to me; but we're going back years, well over a decade. Then I learned how to develop traffic outside of Google; again, long time ago; before blogs, MySpace, so on. Whether it's because I'm a control freak or just level-headed, I have no idea, but I won't rely on Google for traffic. It's like sleeping on someone's sofa and being worried about them kicking you out the door. I'd rather own the house.

I would also agree in term with going the social media route. It's not really my area but I'd say that the majority of these articles will be difficult to rank or possibly little to none demands in terms of searching for those terms.

Keep working on targeted page likes, then when you start getting consistency, that's when you can start pushing more viral content.

By the way... some of the shorten Google links in your FB page appear to be broken or don't. There's plenty of groups on Facebook, which could help your page to become more noticeable.

Find responsive competitors and possibly even consider asking them if they would be willing to share a post of yours, or possibly even for a small fee. A large targeted audience in the same niche as yours, could cost less for a bigger fan base, by a simple post to be shared then it could spending money on Facebook PPC.

You'll have to test it but good luck with the project

Key word search ,using keywords in your title of your site and usage of Htags help .In addition to that you should be doing demographic research so that you can market to target your demographic audience.More importantly is spreading the word networking with fellow bloggers .You can use stumble Upon to generate traffic too.

Looking at your site I am confused who your target customer is!?

You have shareable content that could go viral (and which is not really targeted at making sales - e.g. the fat cat) and then something like Top 10 posts which could be monetizable.

I would try to focus on one market and 2-3 sub-niches if you cannot decide on a single one.

Then I would make articles and also videos and try to get a following on YouTube.

Since you have a lot of pictures that stand out I would also look at Pinterest and Instagram to get traffic.

But besides traffic the next corner stone is conversions and how to build a list. That should be top priority once you have traffic flowing to your site.

And I would first look on how to unclutter your website.

    Take care

Have you people even looked at the friggin site?

    Obviously not.

Or you would not be talking keywords, link building, and other such rot
    that is even remotely SEO-related.

Do some social media crapola, cross your fingers, pray.

Sure hope it's just a hobby.

I would suggest few things to gain traffic.
    1. Do complete onsite seo for each page.
    2. Start Content Based Link Building like Guest blogging, Internal Linking, Community posting etc..
    3. Spend times on social media like Joining groups of Facebook, Linkedin etc..
    4. Make friends on social media ask them to share your content on social media.
    5. Take Interview of Community Influencers, this way you will attract more traffic.
    6. Post Super Quality content, Like Case Study or any tutorial.
    7. if possible make videos and promote them.

Hope with these you will get traffic.

    Thanks

Provide useful and good quality content which your readers are interested to read. Don't focus only SEO, drive traffic through many different traffic streams. Share on social media (facebook, google+, twitter), web 2.0 sites (hubpages, squidoo, bukisa), social bookmarking sites (tumblr, stumbleupon, reddit), make videos (youtube, vimeo, dailymotion), make slideshares (slideshare, scribd, authorstream) and so on. If you want faster results then go for paid traffic.
