Do you have a PBN?

PBNs are definitely not obsolete, but Google is now focusing more on social media sites than they have in the past.

A good technique to use at the moment is to build links from your PBN to social media sites (like a facebook business page. And then build links from social media sites to the money sites.

What a horrible idea. Blow money to rank a social page in the SERPs instead of ranking a self hosted money page with a PBN.

Lol at the nofollow social links pointing at a money page. You can never have enough useless links.

Maybe so...........I have not really investigated this option.

It seems some people think that it works.

On a sidebar, tho', I have been hearing that FB is tightening
up on many things and even initiating lawsuits. Not good!

I'm going to go along with everybody that says building links from your Pbn's to facebook pages are a waste of Pbn juice. No doubt.

But I am looking over this response in a little different way..

Define 'social media' sites. Are Wordpress, Blogger, and the like not by definition 'social media' sites? They are bloggers, everyday people, who don't know a lick of Html, domains, or Ftp, much less metrics. So tired am I of the term "Web 20".. sounds so 90's. They are social media sites, and they can and do rank.

I wouldn't waste expensive domain Pbn sites on linking to these (unless you really want a Blogger site on top), but weaker, cheaper domains can be pointed at these. Depending on the keyphrase you're going after, hell you might even rank that page as well. No-follow? Who cares.. they can be set up as a sales funnel. Disappear or deleted someday? Again, who cares.. they're free. Set up a new one, then go in your Pbn page and change the link.

Not entirely my idea, credit to Mike Anthony where credit is due

True, but there is rumor that Google is cracking down on PBN's.

I have not noticed a drop off in my rankings but I don't have any
page 1 ranks yet. A number of page 3's.

That is nothing new. They have been cracking down on PBNs for several years now.

Big freaking deal. It's a god thing. It eliminates a lot of people.

They crack down on link sellers. The owners of public BNs sell links.

Make the "P" in PBN stand for private, use it for your own sites and you're fine.

Not really very interesting. Think about it. Using this method, now your (assumed) powerful PBN backlinks don't help a money site, they help social media pages. Those social media pages that link back to the money site are either nofollow, or Google can't see them. You've just made your PBN pretty much worthless.

To put it simply..............

1) Buy a high PR 5 or better expired site for your money site
2) Buy at least 10 expired sites PR 3 or better
3) Send links from those 10 sites to your money site.

There is a lot more to it than that but that is a general outline.

Yes have a PBN with Health/weight loss/ Recipe Niche it's working fine. already rank money site two buying keyword are in 1st page more few keyword in 2nd page.

They aren't even remotely obsolete. You just need to get smart about hiding your footprints. Same as buying links ... it's not a "dead" strategy.

Try breaking away from thinking about creating blogs only as well. How about creating proper websites with static design, niche directories, Joomla, Weebly, Wix etc... there's more than just creating Wordpress sites with obvious footprints.

I agree. Even tho' I don't see the harm in linking to
your own sites, Google doesn't always see it that
way.

So, cover your tracks is a good strategy.

To build a PBN you need find for check domain, to to build a PBN safe with google and use it to have good result
