Thin Content Manual Actions

Hi,

A few days ago, I found out I got what's in the thread title on two of my sites simultaneously.

However all of my content is original, never copied from anywhere else.

Although I have now "nofollow" on all my affiliate links, apparently this helps.

But what I wanted to ask, has anyone else here successfully defeated these manual actions?

You mean "unique", rather than "original", I think?

Uniqueness has nothing to do with its being "thin", Andy.

This would be the place to ask: Search Engine Optimization

A lot of people using public blog networks for links got this same message. That might be your problem.

But surely that would have caused some kind of link penalty, not something to do with an on site issue?

        It is a link penalty.

Hundreds of people reported getting that same message and what they all had in common was using public link networks. You are not denying doing the same, so it fits with what other people saw.

Do you think Google really wants to be 100% honest with why they penalized a site, especially when they are taking down public networks?

I see thanks, any idea if its possible to get out of this penalty?

Anything is possible, but you got caught using something Google hates, so I wouldn't give it much of a chance.
