Just build LOCAL backlinks (*directories, forums, articles, etc.). You can also use Social Bookmarking sites!

Firstly, do keywords research analysis properly. Use some long tail keywords with your targeted location. After that do off page activities like business listing, social bookmarking, classified ad posting on the high PR websites who are specific to your targeted location. Check that the websites which you're using, are driving traffic from your targeted location or not. You can check this with the help of Alexa tool.

well that's simple if you want to target specific region then better to optimise the site according to the targeted region first of all you need to get your website server over to the region you are trying to target upon. Once done now what you are going to require is the backlinks i.e based on your niche and the best thing will be get the back links from the sites that are local to the region you are trying to target for, also list yourself over to the local listing over the google once done you are good to go forward with !

    Hi Yavan,
You can find it by using google search engine. For example - incase if you want to get traffic from Uk you can type in browser as google.co.uk , if you want to target india google.in, etc... use country specific search engine and type the searchable keywords within double quotes. You may find list of websites mostly from the country you need to target for.

Note : There is no guarantee, that the websites presence in the list are 100% country specific

If your site has a generic top-level domain, such as .com or .org, and targets users in a particular geographic location, you can provide us with information to help us determine how your site appears in our search results. This improves Google Search results for geographic queries, and it won't impact your appearance in search results unless a user limits the scope of the search to a certain country.

By optimising your site for keywords used by searchers in those states/regions. This is known as local SEO and any keyword that contains a state or region in it is a local keyword. While performing keyword research, set your location to that country and use the "local monthly searches" column while picking your keywords rather than the global searches column.

Local SEO is a good option.

Here are some amazing tips to improve your Local SEO

    1) Add your Business to Google Maps in the proper category.

    2) Put your physical address on Google Maps.

    3) Add your business to structured citations. These are local provides* that shows your name, address, and phone number, as well as your link. Structured citations are very useful for Yelp, Tripadvisor, Yahoo Local, Google Maps, etc.

    4) On your website, you must have an entire page or at least one part of your landing page in HTML, where you show your name, address, and phone number.

    5) You have to verify your local business. How? By making your user an administrator of the local business.

    6) The Google Knowledge Graph box is very important, as it shows your reviews, phone number, hours, and address.

    7) Google Carousel is the black box that appears at the top of a Google search and shows images of your product, service, or brand.

I think that those tips can be very helpful to you

      That's true.

If you have a domain name that ends with .com but the language on that site is in French, Google will only show that site in France if I am not mistaken.

If you only want to target specific countries, Google adwords will allow you to do that. (That's paid traffic by the way).

  • If you want to target your blog or website to different locations you must have different location pages. As, it is not possible to target single page for different location. And, once you are ready with different location pages you need to select localized keywords like "keyword + location". Also, you can make use of Hreflang for individual page. I have shared similar post which might helpful for you:
