A couple of days ago I set up a second adsense account for one of my sites by using the channels option in order to see how profitable this new site would be.

The problem I am having is that it is showing the Page impressions, Clicks, Page CTR but it is not showing the earnings for my new account which does not make sense as I am having clicks happening.

Any idea how I get the earnings to show up seperately for my new site? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please note it shows all the numbers for my original site but not for my new site as of yet at least not the earnings figure.

Sincerely

Sarah

  • I assume you mean you set up a channel, NOT a second Adsense account.

    Did you use a URL channel? If not, did you tell Adsense to use the custom channel when you created your ad? (If you're using a 'pre-fab' ad, meaning it was placed by your site creator or theme, and you're using a custom channel, you have to place that info in the ad code)

    Otherwise, try going to "Reports" and selecting the channel you want to see (on the right) and run the report.

    Hope that helps~

      Hello Mark;

      First of all thanks for getting back to me. Yes I did mean I set up a channel and not another adsense account. I did set up a URL channel. It says for the one page that I placed my google adsense on that Page Impression:36, Clicks:3, CTR:8.33%, Page eCPM 0, Earnings 0.

      I am not sure what to do. I have clicks on my ads today as well but it is showing zero earnings as well. Perhaps I should set up a custom channel? If so you say that I have to incorporate some special code into the ad code? if so how do I do this?

      Thanks.

  • Sarah,

    The easiest way is to use URL channels.

    FWIW, if you're getting clicks but no revenue, you may have a problem with perceived bogus clicks. You might want to proactively contact Google (via your Adsense account) and convey your concern and that you aren't involved in any questionable activities.
