Put your keyword in your title, alt tag, several times within your content, in one outbound link anchor text, and in one header tag. I normally do only the first 3 but you can do all if you want. The best types of backlinks are PBN links and guest posts.

First, the most important On-page SEO techniques:

Put your targeted keywords in the title tag.

Put your targeted keywords in the meta description tag.

Put your targeted keywords in the keyword tag.

Put your targeted keywords in the alt tags for images.

Increase your targeted Keywords density in the content of the webpage.

Internal links between your web pages by using your targeted keywords as the anchor text.

Second, the best type of backlinks for ranking a blog post :

The most important point you should care when creating your backlinks is to make your backlinks from the sites that are related to your website niche (topic).

The backlinks from the info websites are useful too. info websites like wikipedia, about.com and ask.com.

2. Title of your post is quite important, choose an exciting and note worthy titles. Using titles which are quite similar with already existing articles wouldn't work in your favor.
3. Do some research on keywords or search-queries relevant with your subject and include high search volume keywords within your writings apparently.
4. Visual content like videos, images, graphics are really audience captive. Use relevant and impactful visual content within your posts.

Link should be relevant category of your website and should have high PR(PAGE RANK). If your fiverr guy provide you a report of the work then check their link. The link should have high PR like high PR social bookmarking sites, directory sites, classified sites, article sites, blog posting & commenting sites, forum posting sites, video posting sites and more..because only good and high PR back links will be stay on first page otherwise after some time you'll drop and may be get penalize by Google for poor back links.

You should try to create natural backlinks from authority sites like high PR forums sites, guest blogging, blog comment, Q/A sites etc.
Use keyword in your blog.
Make more engagement on social media.

Quality Content

This is not all. You also share the related links with your users while posting the new post. You may write like "Also See :- (you post link) ". So, user will go and read the related article.
