Top UK directories

Hi,

I am looking for a list of the top UK directories, I need a big list to follow when ranking local websites.

Is there any list out there which I could follow from start to bottom, and preferably rank for in the local pack if they are all HQ?

It's a shame directories don't work anymore. Well, the popular ones do still work, and they are few in number. The majority won't give your site any ranking boost unless it's new, in which case it would rise and get stuck on pages 2 to 5.

True, but directories/citations help with local ranking, especially in the local 7 pack? That is primarily what I am looking for here, I can't get my head around securing a local pack listing for websites. It's difficult.
