Anyone have any success getting traffic from classified ads?

My money site is in the job training/education/employment niche and I was wondering if anyone on here knew of any classified ads online where I could post a relevant ad that would drive traffic to my website.

Has anyone had any success using online classified ads to acquire targeted web traffic that actually converts to sales or Adsense clicks? If so, which online classified ad sites did you use?

    Honestly,

    Craigslist is one of the top online today. If you can, post in the top 10 cities. You will get traffic. Can't guarantee conversions because that depends on too many factors. Backpage is also a popular website but much less used.

    That is a poor way to get traffic. Most free traffic sources won't send valuable/converting traffic to your site. You are better off focusing on SEO and paid ads.

    SEO Power, what do you suggest for someone like me who is still in college and doesn't have a lot of money to spend on paid ads. At this point, my website is only generating about $250 to $300 a month in Adsense revenue. Which paid ads do you think would bring the highest ROI for my website which is geared towards finding the best vocational schools and job training schools in the U.S.?
