Anyone notice on mobile, when searching for a keyword like we do with carpet cleaning las vegas, it only gives you 3 places results instead of 5 or 6. Because we were 4th on the google places results, we aren't seen on the 1st page anymore. You have to scroll over or click "see more" What BS. Is this new and is it staying like this? Anyone else have this problem?

Google has also been testing a 3-pack on desktop for a while (months).

Do better, be in the top 3 local pack and/or aim for regular organic ranking.

What else can you expect? Everything in mobile is stripped down. Mobile websites don't contain as much information and links as their desktop counterparts. The same goes for mobile search results.

^ true. Mobile websites contain so much less info than "normal" websites.
Can I just say something though? Try harder to get in the top 3 search results

It's based on industry, location and search volume. There is an algorithm that decides what kind of pack to display, This isn't necessarily a bad thing if you were in the top 3 pack think of all the extra business they are getting!

The BS, is people letting google somehow be responsible for
the sucess, or failure, of their business.

They could care less about your business and are not in
business to keep you in business.

They assume that any real business is doing good business
practices, like advertising...and if you are not, then what
does google have to do with that?

If I was a real carpet cleaner in Vegas, dang straight I would have
had a proper business plan before I took the plunge. And done
a boatload of research on how to start and run a carpet cleaning
service successfully. Google would not have even entered the picture.

Funny thing, I see google advertising all over the place. I wonder why.
