Need help with keywords please.

I already have a domain name that I'm wanting to revamp to try for better SEO results.
I found a long tail keyword (3 separate words) that has a decent amount of searches and low competition, but the sequence of the keywords would be out of order in the domain name.

For example, let's say my long tail keyword is 'widgets are big fancy', but my domain name is already 'fancy blue big widgets'.dotcom.

Will my site still be optimized for my long tail keyword if the keywords in the domain name are out of order? Or do I need to use a long tail keyword that is in the exact order of the domain name?

Thanks!
Angela

You can optimize your site with the keywords(different phrases) you want. It doesn't matter what your domain name is? Just use your targeted keywords as anchor text in all your link building efforts.

Angela in your case, I would create a separate page like "your-new-long-tail-keyword.html" and promote it by backlinks.

BTW, another good idea is to create a subdomain with your new keyword phrase.
But keep in mind.. If you create a subdomain, google will see it like a new site and if you have any links pointing to your main domain they won't count...
