Aren't some of these sites nofollow? There isn't any point if it's no follow?

NoFollow links are essential for an organic link structure, to be safe I always take care to have 70 / 30 ratio dofollow / nofollow.

Wikipedia backlinks are NoFollow aswell, but they carry over a lot of authority,

and to be frankly honest, if I can get a Link from a PR3+ page (not DR / NA), I dont care a lot if its noFollow or DoFollow

For one of my websites, it took me a few months. It also depends on how much promotion work you're doing.

I think you should show passions now, if you already have your keywords on first page however you should concentrate on social media marketing and guest blogging to get more quality backlinks, hopefully you will get good response.

I don't think that can be generalised into one number, I'm sure it varies drastically for different keywords..

Total hogwash. There is no need to create that kind of ratio. In fact, there is zero need to ever create a single nofollow link.

      1) It does not make things appear natural. Google has stated a few times that out of all the links they crawl, only around 3% are nofollow.

      2) Even if you do buy in to this bullshit, there are plenty of scraper and data sites you will get nofollow links without doing a single thing.

There isn't a perfect ratio, anyway if you do just one type of link activity, ex: dofollow links in directories or forums then you are at penalty risk.

Best thing is doing a bit of everything, creating just exact match anchor text keywords maybe helps in the 1st months but in the long run you'll probably get penalized.

Yeah, except that is not true. I have ranked webpages in competitive niches where I never created a single nofollow link. Ever.

People are confusing correlations with causation. They look at some link profiles and see that there are some nofollow links in there. Now they assume that you need nofollow links to rank. They never bother to test anything or try it for themselves. They just listen to morons on forums like this one parroting the same lies over and over again.

Try it. You will rank just fine.

It is just like the whole social signal thing. People see some top ranked sites with social signals and now start broadcasting that social signals help you rank, even though there have been zero tests done proving that and Google has denied it over and over again. Nobody bothers to think that the reason they have social signals is from the traffic they are getting because of their rankings. They did not get the rankings because of the social signals.

If site is newly optimized for SEO it may take a minimum of 3 months of time to achieve top positions. But it all depends on keywords that you would be having..

Nowdays On Page is better then Off Page to be in top.

You can keep updating the title , meta description it will get updated and boost in ranking to your keywords.

yup, I agree. When runing a wp site, you can target 4 words longtails with yoast SEO, and a decent OnPage optimization and get some good traffic pretty fast.
