Hi all,

Hope you all doing good.

From last few week I am stuck with a very unusual error in Google SERP while searching for my main keyword. Let's assume I have a website name, ABC.com and whenever I search for my targeted main keyword than the very first result shows link from some other website XYZ.com/learnmore sub page but having exact title and description of my own website.

I have report this issue several time in Google webmaster tools, resubmit the XML sitemap, done the fetch as Google option, reported in Google several times but no success.

So friends pls help me out in getting removed this unwanted link from the SERP. For more information share your thoughts below or PM me.

Thanks

So you've reported a site just because they outrank your own page?

It doesn't outrank my own page but showing domain from other website which is having content and meta tags of my own page. In simple instead of showing this link https://www.abc.com/learnmore it shows https://www.xyz.com/learnmore with the actual content of my page.

      Hope this clear my point.

If someone published your content without your permission, send them a DMCA notice and move on.

Reporting it to Google will accomplish nothing.

        Get the webpage taken down.

How does Google know you created the content page first? Is your domain name/URL on the competition page or are they hotlinking your images?

According to Google, which content is index and cache at the first time this is original content for this website . after it this content is duplicate for all other websites .

Your dreaming, Google has no idea who created content first.

A scraper site could have a page indexed first. Most scraper sites are pulling scraped data from feeds which is instant so the content can be posted on a scraper site as soon as the original page goes live (feed), while Google could take days to index an original site/page.

In the end the page with better SEO wins in the SERPs.

Looks like an aggressive competitor but I still don't think title or meta description goes into the "duplicate content" box. I Guess you will need to make something different. Maybe change your metadescription (it won't affect your SEO. Microdata is also good to make your site different to your competitor's. Create a Google+ profile for your website too and link to it, I think it will help.

    Good luck.

Yes, I have changed the meta tags yesterday itself and also adding microdata today and creating a Google+ page. Not leaving a single milestone to overcome this fatal error.

I don't visit the forum often but whenever i do, i am like wtf!
Where do these guys learn SEO?
A simple yet important point left out.
If they are outranking you then you should outrank them. Simple. Isn't it?
    How?
By making your content more valuable
    How?
Add more data and some cool images to existing page. Get social and a few other decent backlinks to the page in question.
    This should do the trick.
I once experimented with it. Added just a single post to a new blog(5000 words) with cool images and no backlinks. Competitive term. Two days and i was ranking #1

A couple of years ago I took part of a public domain book from Google Books & outranked Google for the book title. It was only a test site but it didn't take much effort to rank.

@Yukon- Exactly my point. You can outrank most of the sites if you can offer more value. Don't you think most of seo guys here are funny?

I think most of you didn't understand my question. No other site outrank my page but actually my own subpage is not indexing properly and showing result from some other domain. Anyway i got my answer and positive reply from @yukon.
Thanks man and you guys have great day ahead.
