For local businesses looking to rank in the search engine results, remember, the more your site ranks organically, the more your site will rank locally.

Some ways to get free, high quality link juice are...

- Build lots of local citations: Get yourself listed in all the local online directories like Yelp, MSN Local, Yahoo Local, Etc. These sites are very valuable because most allow you to add your companies' website, which is a hyperlink and acts as a back link. It's also recommended to get listed with the Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. (May need membership for Chamber of Commerce). Then you create back links pointing to these citations to give them more link juice.

- Examine your competitors backlinks and citations and replicate: To do this, you can copy & paste their URL into Google and see where they're listed and get listed wherever they are. You can also paste their URL into Backlinkwatch.com and Ahrefs.com for site reports showing their back link count, back link URLs, anchor texts, referring domains, URL rank, dofollow/nofollow ratio, etc.
